Day 14: Enter In

Read Mark 1-3

Maybe the title brings back memories of the older praise and worship song "I Will Enter His Gates." However, that is not what we are going to take and look at really quick. Rather, the notion is to jump in with everything that you have. Don't look back. Take off the floaties in the kiddie pool and put on your scuba gear as you wade out into the depths of the ocean .

So, here it is...The Gospel of Mark, the shortest of the gospel, but probably my favorite. Look how quickly the gospel starts off. IT doesn't begin with his birth, but rather it begins with his ministry and being baptized by his forerunner, John the Baptist.

Now, scroll on down, flip the page, look at Mark 1:14-15. Here we have Jesus' first words in the gospel of Mark, and they are a challenge. Jesus says, "The time is fulfilled, the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

Can you say BOLDNESS!? Can you say MAVERICK? Can you say Messiah, Savior, Redeemer?

Here is the challenge for you and I in every single relationship, interaction, aspect of our days. Jesus was Bold, but it was not due to the sole fact that he was God. He was savior. He was and is and forever will be king. Rather it stemmed from both his purpose to bring glory to god, and his task, which was to proclaim God's greatness.

So...I ask you this, "As Matthew ended with the Great Commission and the commissioning of the disciples we have Mark beginning with Jesus showing what that looks like." BE Bold! Be a Maverick! Share the gospel and make disciples. Kimberly and I are praying for you guys.
