GOOD MORNING ANDERSON! I hope you were able to get a little rest last night. Maybe you watched some of Kobe's last game. Maybe you watched some of the Warriors historic 73rd win last night. Or maybe you were up late working on homework or a Senior Project. Either way it is a wonderful day to be awake and to be able to dig into the Word of God.
So...take some time today to read through Isaiah 1, 2, 6, 40, 52-55.
I know this seems like a lot, and I know that it is a good bit of material. This is one of the longest books in the Old Testament, but do not let that deter you. Enjoy the reading. Take your time through the reading.
Take some time reading through chapter 40 again at some point today. Think through the chapter, but make sure you notice the first few lines. "Comfort, comfort my people; says your God."
This is one of the most quotable and memorable chapters in Isaiah. Chapter 40 is big time. If you don't believe me then read verses 3, 6, 8, 30, and 31, and these are just so I can name a few. However, I want us to focus on verse 1. Look at the Lord and his desire to comfort his people. Look for his desire to care for his people. Look at how he seeks to redeem his people.
This is the exact same care that he has for you and me. This is the care that the Lord has for us.
