Survey Plan: day 43

Here it is! Today is the BIG DAY if you are following along diligently with us these eleven weeks. This is the day that we are jumping into the New Testament. It has been a long six weeks as we have delved into the recesses of the Old Testament, but we have made it to the beginning of these last 27 books.

So..GO AHEAD AND READ MATTHEW 1-2 AND 5-7.

Take a look at the very last few words Matthew writes about Jesus in chapter 7 and 28-29. He says, "And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for he was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes."

CRAZINESS!! What Matthew is declaring here is that these people had never heard of a guy like this speak as he did. He had authority. He had understanding. He was different.

Do not take this for granted. Do not take the Bible for granted. Do not take Jesus for granted. He is so, so good. It is because of his blood that we live. Enjoy that today. As you are grinding through these eleven weeks, and as we are digging into the New Testament, make sure you are enjoying these words Jesus spoke.

BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THEM ANYWHERE ELSE!
