Hey Guys! It is a dreary Tuesday morning, and I know we are looking at a few more day of rain. However, enjoy the fact that this means we are one day closer to summer, and dig into reading the Word today.
We are reading from two books that we rarely read from. One of them is the book of Titus, and the other Austin taught from two Wednesday nights ago at The Gathering, Philemon.
So, go for it read Titus 2, and the entire book of Philemon, it is only 25 verses.
I've got one verse that I want you to take a second look at today that speaks volumes to what our lives should look like and that I pray that they do look like. Listen to these words. Hear these words. Meditate on and memorize these words. "For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled , upright, and godly lives in the present age." These are verses 11 and 12 of Titus chapter 2.
Do we truly believe salvation is for all people? If we do then why don't we tell more people? What about that person we cannot stand?
Then what about our lives? Think about your sin for just a quick second. Are we truly renouncing our sin? Are we turning away from it? Are we putting it to death?
Then think about the rest of your life? In the moments that you are not sinning are you a life that is controlled? Is it a true life? Is it a life that is different, that is set apart, that is godly?
