Hey Guys! It is Tuesday morning bright and early, and I am praying that you are going to have an awesome day as this last month of school is going by fast.
TOMORROW NIGHT IS THE GATHERING @ 6:00 PM. COME HANGOUT BEFORE THE HANNA SOCCER AND BASEBALL GAMES. ALSO, IT IS OUR INTERNS LAST WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
So, we are jumping into the book of Acts today, and it is one of my favorite books. It is filled with narratives from the creation of the early church, and they teach us so much about how we should live our lives.
Go ahead and read Acts 1-4.
So, one of the most challenging things I do is I get on Instagram and scroll through my feed. I don't know about you, but that does not seem to be too difficult of a task normally, but I follow a couple of Christian organizations which push my bounds mentally.
Go back and read the famous Acts 1:8 one more time. The reason why the IMB Instagram account challenges me normally is because I am constantly reminded of the passage, and I am reminded of where I am called to proclaim the gospel. Right. Here. In. Anderson. This is where the Lord has placed me. He hasn't placed me in Nepal, India, Northern Africa, Guyana, New York City, but rather I am here in Anderson, South Carolina. This is my home. This is where I am specifically called to proclaim the gospel. This is my Jerusalem.
What about you? As you read through Acts 1:8 what are you thinking? What is the Lord telling you about proclaiming the gospel through these verses? It all begins with our Jerusalem. And are we proclaiming the gospel in each of those 4 areas Acts 1:8 speaks of.
