GO!: WEEK 3

Andrew Barnes

HE GATHERING IS TONIGHT @ 6:45! You do not want to miss out, so come hang out with us, play some games, participate in some sweet worship, and hear about our GO! series.

Take some time with me today reading, thinking through Scripture, applying it to our lives, and praying. Remember S O A P.

Scripture: Read with me 1 TIMOTHY 4 today.

Observation: What is the primary meaning of this passage written by Peter? What does this passage teach us about who God is? What does the passage teach us about who we are? What does this passage teach us about what God has done? What does this passage teach us about what it means to be a child of God? Make sure we notice what living a life as a student looks like? Make sure we notice the importance of the words speech, life, love, faith, and purity. Make sure we notice that we are not supposed to let others look down, despise, think we are hypocrites because of the life that we live and say we are Christians.

Application: Focus on making it personal. What does this passage mean for you at this specific moment in your life? Are we living as though we have embraced his grace? Are we living lives that are talking about Jesus, sharing the gospel, going through life as such?

Prayer: Don't forget to pray. Pray a whole lot. Pray for your pastors. Pray that the Word of the Lord changes lives. Pray that people will come to have a relationship with Jesus today, both here in Anderson and all over the world. Pray that we will learn something today. Pray that the Lord will open our eyes and hearts to things we might have hear hundreds of times before.
