GO!: WEEK 3

Andrew Barnes

IT IS MONDAY MAY 8, 2017, WHICH MEANS THERE ARE ONLY A FEW MORE WEEKS OF SCHOOL. Think about it. In only one month you will be completely done with another school year. Enjoy that. Focus on pushing for excellence and living boldly for Jesus this last month.

Focus on pushing your relationship with Jesus forward. Focus on digging into Scripture and knowing who God is and who you are because of him more.

Scripture: Read with me Mark 16 today.

Observation: What is the primary meaning of this passage written by Mark? What does this passage teach us about who God is? What does the passage teach us about who we are? What does this passage teach us about what God has done? Make sure we notice the last few verses of this chapter. Make sure we notice the importance of this chapter for what we believe. Make sure we notice the glorious resurrection of Jesus. He is amazing. Make sure we notice what the command is in those final verses. Make sure we notice and emphasize how often Jesus tells the people to believe, or how often the people did not believe it was Jesus.

Application: Focus on making it personal. What does this passage mean for you at this specific moment in your life? Are you looking down at a WWJD bracelet? Where is your focus at? Are we willing to live for Jesus even at a young age? Are we willing to not be afraid but take hold of the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline we have been given.

Prayer: Don't forget to pray. Pray a whole lot. Pray that the Word of the Lord changes lives. Pray that people will come to have a relationship with Jesus today, both here in Anderson and all over the world. Pray that we will learn something today. Pray that the Lord will open our eyes and hearts to things we might have heard hundreds of times before.
