Church Security & Active Assailant Training

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a Church Security and Active Assailant Training at Concord and other area churches

Basic Church Security Training
For Security Teams or if starting a Church Security Team, this training teaches what a Security Team should focus upon in areas such as parking lots, children and nurseries and offices. In addition, this training will cover the characteristics of suspicious behavior or of someone carrying a gun, as well as what plans a church should have in place for incidents such as an active shooter, missing child and more.

Active Shooter Response Training
The Active Shooter Response Training covers what anyone should do in the event of a shooter and gives options such as how to escape or barricade or how to respond.

Topics covered include:
Taking the shooter down | Hands-On Practical Exercises (take-downs) | Stopping the dying - Trauma First Aid | Blank gun firing for sound reference | Law Enforcement Response
