parenting: biblical principles for the ride of a lifetime - SPRING 2017 Teaching series

This spring craziness is happening. We have March Madness coming, flowers move from hibernation to coloration beyond imagination, and for many of us graduation is fast approaching, whether from preschool, college, or even from one career to another. Maybe you are a new parent. Maybe you are a grandparent of five. Maybe you are a fifteen-year-old high school student. Have you ever thought what it means to be a gospel-centered parent, grandparent, son, or daughter?

This spring beginning on February 12, 2017 Concord Baptist Church is beginning our spring teaching series Parenting: Biblical Principles for the Ride of a Lifetime, and we will be talking about what the Bible, what the gospel, says specifically about parenting. We would love to invite you to join us every Sunday morning this fall as we delve deep into Scripture, into our own hearts, and into the how the gospel directly impacts every aspect of our lives as parents and children.

Join us in our main sanctuary for our 10:30am service.

Each week we will be moving through different biblical principles for healthy and positive gospel-centered parenting. Our lead pastor, Dr. Don Cox, will discuss how Scripture speaks directly to how we parent our children and students.

What are Sunday services?

Sunday Services are a gathering of people who belong to our church plus others who want to worship with us. We usually sing some worship songs together, have a prayer time, then listen to our lead pastor teach, and take an offering (this is voluntary, and mostly for those who call themselves members of our church). The whole service lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.

How do I find you?

1012 Concord Road, Anderson, SC. Click here for google maps

What do I do when I show up?

Try to arrive a few minutes before the service starts. After you park your car, you can either head straight towards the service or drop off your kids. If you are dropping off kids, you can head towards our children's education building, (the building closest to the East/West Connector).  If you are going straight to the service, go to the seemingly largest building on our campus (Main Sanctuary) for the 10:30am service. This page has more info about services and kids programming. If you have any trouble finding your way around, there are people who will be happy to assist you! You can always find some of these helpers in the commons area or at the welcome center, located in the Sanctuary building.

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable wearing. You will see people wear every day casual, others who might be more business casual, and some will be dressed in suits.
