In watching ‘Sports Center’ on ESPN, I’ve seen signs around the NBA arenas.  I don’t know exactly what they’re promoting, but can guess they’re supporting groups that feel they aren’t treated ‘equally’…Women, minorities, poor, certain religions, LGBTQ…

Our Declaration of Independence states… We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Even Scripture says: Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female…for you are all one in Christ Jesus…Colossians 3:12-14 says (Paraphrased) God’s people are to treat others with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiving others, showing love.

God loves each of us equally, shouldn’t we do the same?  Yes, we should.  But that doesn’t mean supporting all lifestyles that go against God’s design.  Genesis/Jesus says God created Male/Female.  ‘For this reason’ marriage is to be between men/women. (Romans 1 describes the perversion of other relationships.) God tells us to ‘multiply’ and replenish the earth… even though He acknowledges all aren’t called to be married (Jesus nor Paul married.) and not everyone can have children.  Deuteronomy 6 explains how we are to teach-pass down God’s love to our children, grandchildren…all generations.  John explains how, at the right time, God became flesh and dwelt among us, showing us His Truth.  Any way to Heaven, other than Jesus, is false.  This is Truth, this is God’s Design. All else is counterfeit.

Jesus loves everyone.  He supported a woman caught in the act of adultery over the ‘religious’ Pharisees.  Basically, He said, “I love you…but you’re living outside Father’s design…go-sin no more.”  He loved her, but didn’t condone/support her adulterous lifestyle, nor pretend to.  That wouldn’t be showing her real love.

So how are we to show ‘equality’ to all people?  Acknowledge God created us all, loves us all, has a designed standard for us all…Admit we all fall short of this standard, we sin.  Jesus came to earth to teach all, die for the sins of all, will judge all by Father’s standards. My sins needed His payment as much as anyone else’s.  Theirs are no different from mine.

What God spells out is The Truth…anything else is counterfeit.  I must love everyone equally, share God’s truth faithfully.  Telling someone, “Your choices go against God’s standard” is love.  Don’t fall for Satan’s ploy to call ‘Disagree’-‘Hate’!  If I know the bridge is out and tell you to turn around from the path you typically enjoy going down, I don’t hate you, I’m showing love to you.

We know Him who “Is Love”.  What He says is Truth. Love everyone enough to share Truth.
