Oil Change Ministry

This is a ministry for single moms, widows, and those with special needs. On a Saturday morning, usually once every 3-4 months we will change oil and filters, check batteries, and perform a safety check on your vehicle. This ministry is free of charge and open to single moms, widows and special needs folks outside of Concord Baptist Church. The Men’s Ministry of Concord Baptist Church hosted an oil change ministry event on Saturday, May 1, 2010. Twenty-five men and 6 ladies from the Concord Baptist Women’s Missionary Union helped out. The rain held off and we were able to change oil on 35 vehicles. That translates to 35 new oil filters and approximately 175 quarts of oil. A total of 120 volunteer hours were invested in Saturday’s ministry event to further God’s Kingdom. We will hold our next oil change ministry event sometime in August or September 2010.
