Day 33: Be A Witness

Read John 1-2

After reading this, an important question to ask yourself is, “What am I going to do with Jesus?”

From the first chapter here in John, we see that Jesus is fully God as well as fully man, that He is the Son of God, and that He was with God in the very beginning.

The first two verse in John 1 tells us about His divinity. You see, Jesus is God. God the Father and God the Son are the same, yet they play different roles.

In verse 14, John talks about the nature of Jesus. Jesus became a man. Humanity was added to His deity, which is one of the basic but extremely important truths about Christianity.

I love how John discusses the humanity and deity of Christ, the fact that Jesus took away the sins of the world, and goes into the second chapter by talking about the first miracles of Jesus.

But there is one thing that John was that we need to be as well… a witness. Read John 1:7-8 again.

If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, be a witness for Him. Tell others about Him. As Christians, we are called to preach the gospel message. There are people dying spiritually. We should be telling our friends at school, those we work with, and those we see on a regular basis about Jesus.

We need to be like John. Be a witness for Jesus.

Jesus answered, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” –John 14:6
