Every now and then, the Lord leads me to read this familiar passage of Scripture. I would love for you to take some time to read it, too: Matthew 25:40 (verse from last month’s passage)

“And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

I have a ministry book that walks through this passage: Operation Inasmuch! This book challenges believers to be about the ministry of Inasmuch—serving and ministering to those in need, like the person on the side of the road whom the Samaritan cared for, like the parent concerned over a sick child, or like the woman at the well. It is about seeing people where they are and choosing to serve and minister to them.

There are a few opportunities for you to serve and minister in the life of our church. The Birthday Team and the Visitation Team are looking for more people to serve. The Birthday Team visits and takes a gift to members age 75 and older in our ministry. You would have an opportunity to visit them and drop off a gift from the Forever Young ministry of CBC. The Visitation Team visits our assisted living members each week, and this team is also in need of a few more men. If you would like to be a part of either of these teams, please reach out to my ministry assistant, Madi Nally. These are two wonderful opportunities to serve, share, and be the hands and feet of Christ through our church.

One other ministry opportunity is our Prayer Ministry. You can receive the prayer list by email each day and pray for those listed. If you would like to come to our prayer room and pray, you can sign up for a time to do that as well. Prayer ministry is an integral part of any church where God is blessing. Come and be a part of revival and spiritual awakening through prayer. Reach out to Madi for more details.
