Matthew 1:23: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they
shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

Immanuel is one of my favorite names for Jesus! When we hear this name, it
shows us who Jesus is. He is God who became a human and lived with people on earth. Jesus was born as a baby to parents here on earth. He was a real
person, just like us, but He was also perfect and the Son of God. He came so that we could know God. Jesus was both fully God and fully human. I can’t explain all of it, but I read it in the Bible, so I believe it is true!

Even though Jesus isn’t walking on earth today, He is still working in our world
through the Holy Spirit. He really is “God with us!” This Christmas, remember
that God wants to be close to you and have a special relationship with you. Enjoy this season and help other people learn about Jesus, the God who is with us!

It’s hard to believe Christmas is here and 2026 is just a few weeks away. Next
year, we will have lots of fun adventures, chances to grow, fellowships, and serve
others. We will be able to help our community and even people far away. Please
pray as we make plans to serve and change lives forever.
