Michael's Blog | July 2026
Every now and then, the Lord leads me to read this familiar passage of Scripture. I would love for you to take some time to read it too. Matthew 25:31–46 This passage challenges me in my daily walk with the Lord. I have to ask myself, “How often do I love like the righteous (the sheep)?” And, “How often do I act like the unrighteous (the goats)?”
God calls us to love others. We are not supposed to pick and choose who we love.
Lord, forgive us when we choose ourselves instead of loving others like You do. We were once the ‘others’ You came to love. Amen.
In the days and months ahead, please stay connected and watch for ways you can serve:
- The newsletter: https://www.concordbaptist.com/foreveryoung
- The Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/foreveryoungcbc
- The Church Center app & website: https://cbcofanderson.churchcenter.com/home
These are great places to find opportunities to serve, share, and be the hands and feet of Christ in our church and community.
FY Serves & Missions Update: Thank you to those who have already reached out and started serving with SF4K! We are helping with the SF4K (Summer Food for Kids) program through AIM. This is a food distribution that takes place at the housing communities near Washington and Jefferson, by the old McCants Downtown.
- It takes place on Fridays during the summer
- It takes about one hour
- It is outside in the hot sun
If you would like to help this summer, please reach out to me or Jay Conner for more details.
Our ministry groups—Forever Young Adventures, Forever Young Grows, and Forever Young Serves—help us build friendships and live like the church. You will hear updates through mail (Forever Young Connection—this newsletter), email: mkinard@concordbaptist.com, OneCall, our Facebook group: @foreveryoungcbc/, and the Church Center app.
In Christ’s love,
Rev. Michael and Lori Kinard (and Michaela)
