Kevin has served as the Minister of Church Music and Worship Arts at Concord since September 2018, previously serving in churches in North Carolina and Wyoming. Kevin is a graduate of William Jewell College in Liberty, MO with a Bachelor’s in Instrumental Music Education. He has a Master’s of Divinity in Pastoral Ministries and Master’s of Arts in Christian Leadership from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned his Doctorate in Ministry of Worship Leadership from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kevin is married to Annie and they have two sons, Kaysen and Morgan.

Kevin was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming and from a very young age he was involved in music, especially at church, participating in instrumental groups, leading worship, musicals and choirs. After graduating from William Jewell College, Kevin taught high school and middle school band and orchestra for six years before being called into fulltime ministry. During his time of teaching, Kevin served as orchestra director at Central Community Church in Wichita, Kansas where he not only felt the call to leave teaching and go to seminary and into fulltime ministry.

Through his entire journey from learning to play the violin at 10 years old to currently serving at Concord Baptist, Kevin and Annie have been able to see God’s hand moving them through their journey. Kevin’s favorite verse is Ephesians 5:19: “Speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music from your heart to the Lord.” Kevin believes in creating a multi-generational worship experience for the church, being able to utilize a full choir and orchestra to sing the songs of yesterday, today and tomorrow to reach and touch the generations.
